Remove burrs from machined parts with the Indigo™ 22574 stainless steel precision pick. Deburr drilled holes, milled edges, and tight corners without rounding edges or damaging part features.

Burrs left on machined parts create assembly problems, safety hazards, and quality issues that can lead to part rejection. While rotary deburring tools work well on accessible edges, they can't reach into tight corners, small holes, or areas where maintaining sharp edge definition is critical. The Indigo™ 22574 precision pick gives machinists and deburring operators controlled burr removal in challenging locations. The straight pointed tip hooks and breaks off burrs from drilled holes and internal features, while the right-angle tip accesses burrs in corners and along perpendicular edges. Unlike rotary tools that can round edges excessively, this manual approach preserves intended part geometry while removing only the unwanted material. This is essential for aerospace, medical, and precision engineering applications with strict deburring specifications.

Indigo™ dental tools are made with AISI 410 German surgical grade stainless steel, not "alloy steel" made from rusted cars. We've been selling dental tools on-line since 1998. Ours stay sharp longer & are autoclavable: see Documentation below that confirms chromium & manganese content.

How to Use

Inspect the part under good lighting to identify all burrs. Secure the part to prevent movement during deburring. Use the straight tip to hook burrs at their base, pulling them away from the edge rather than pushing into the part. For holes, insert the tip and rotate while pulling upward to remove burrs from the hole edge. Use the right-angle tip for burrs in corners or along perpendicular surfaces. Work carefully to remove only the burr. Excessive material removal changes part dimensions. For critical parts, work under magnification. After deburring, clean the part thoroughly and inspect for completeness. Remaining burrs will cause assembly problems or part rejection.
