Ball & stick models have discrete single bonds that allow for rotation of atoms relative to each other. Double & triple covalent bonds do not. The chemical bonds in spacefilling models are implied. You can use our on-line 3D Molecular Model Builder to toggle between these two molecular styles & wireframe.
