Remove copper and lead fouling from chamber edges and extractor recesses with the Indigo™ 22578 stainless steel curved hook pick. Clean firearm chambers without damaging chamber throats or rifling.

Copper and lead fouling accumulates at chamber mouths and in extractor recesses, causing extraction failures and accuracy degradation. This buildup is particularly stubborn at the junction between chamber and rifling where conventional brushes can't effectively reach. The Indigo™ 22578's curved talon design excels at this precision cleaning task, the hooked tip gets underneath fouling deposits at chamber edges and lifts them away without gouging the critical chamber throat area. Competitive shooters and gunsmiths know that chamber edge fouling affects bullet seating and initial engraving, directly impacting accuracy. The tool's curve follows the transition from chamber to rifling naturally, allowing careful scraping without damaging lands and grooves. This stainless steel tool resists gun cleaning solvents and maintains its edge through repeated use; essential for armories and high-volume shooting operations.

Indigo™ dental tools are made with AISI 410 German surgical grade stainless steel, not "alloy steel" made from rusted cars. We've been selling dental tools on-line since 1998. Ours stay sharp longer & are autoclavable: see Documentation below that confirms chromium & manganese content.

How to Use

Apply copper solvent or appropriate bore cleaner and allow adequate dwell time. With the barrel removed or action open, insert the curved tip into the chamber mouth. Work the hook gently around the chamber edge where it meets the rifling, lifting fouling deposits rather than scraping across surfaces. The curve allows you to follow the chamber throat contour naturally. Use good lighting or a bore scope to inspect your progress. Chamber throats are critical to accuracy and any damage here is difficult to repair. For extractor recesses, the hook pulls fouling from these pockets effectively. Work patiently, alternating between chemical and mechanical cleaning. Inspect for remaining fouling and repeat if necessary before final solvent flushing.
