Scyllo-inositol is one of nine stereoisomers of a chemical compound with the familiar formula of C<sub>6</sub>H<sub>12</sub>O<sub>6</sub>. It is essentially a cyclohexane ring with 6 alcohol groups & has been found in deep sea organisms. It is believed to act as a protein stabilizer or piezolyte & may have potential uses as a treatment for Alzheimer's disease.
