Ensure wild organic rice is free from harmful quat residues with Indigo® QAC test strips. Verify sanitation during harvesting, washing, and storage, protect export quality, and meet HACCP, FSMA, and USDA Organic certification standards.
Residual quat test strips (10–100 ppm) provide reliable verification that sanitizing agents used in wild organic rice processing and packaging meet safety standards while leaving minimal residues. Organic food processors face strict regulations, especially for export markets where HACCP compliance, USDA organic certification, and third-party inspections require proof that QAC sanitizers are controlled. These easy-to-use test strips allow rice processors to document sanitizer levels quickly, ensuring both food safety and organic integrity.
The directions on the test strip bottle are for testing liquid quat solutions. To test surfaces for residues you must first wet the strip's testing pad with water (deionized or distilled if available). Then press against surfaces for at least 10 seconds & then compare against the color chart.
Levels less than "10" ppm are impossible to determine but some organic certifications call for "0" ppm. This is because water alone causes a reading of 10ppm. Swish strip in liquid 5 times & then compare to color chart after 10 seconds.
