Remove cured epoxy and polyurethane from work surfaces and parts with the Indigo™ 22577 stainless steel curved scraper. Clean hardened industrial adhesives without damaging underlying surfaces.

Cured epoxy and polyurethane adhesives present significant cleanup challenges in manufacturing and repair environments. These materials bond tenaciously to work surfaces, fixturing, and accidentally contaminated parts. Chisels and straight scrapers concentrate force at small points, risking damage to underlying surfaces, while chemical strippers are slow, messy, and potentially hazardous. The Indigo™ 22577's broad curved scraper provides effective mechanical adhesive removal capability. The wide scraping edge distributes force across a larger area, allowing controlled removal of hardened adhesives without gouging metal work surfaces or damaging precision parts. The curved profile is particularly effective for removing adhesive squeeze-out from curved surfaces and radiused edges common in composite manufacturing and assembly work.

Indigo™ dental tools are made with AISI 410 German surgical grade stainless steel, not "alloy steel" made from rusted cars. We've been selling dental tools on-line since 1998. Ours stay sharp longer & are autoclavable: see Documentation below that confirms chromium & manganese content.

How to Use

For best results, begin removal while epoxy or polyurethane is in the "green" (partially cured but not fully hardened) stage if possible. Fully cured material is significantly harder to remove. Position the broad scraper edge against the adhesive bead at a low angle and apply steady pressure, working the blade under the cured material. The curved profile helps maintain consistent contact angle as you work. For fully cured adhesives on non-porous surfaces, you may be able to pop off entire sections once you get the scraper started underneath. On porous or soft surfaces, work more carefully to avoid gouging the substrate. Heat guns can soften some adhesives, making mechanical removal easier but verify compatibility first as some adhesives become stickier when heated. After bulk removal, residual adhesive can often be addressed with appropriate solvents. Wear safety glasses as cured adhesive chips can be sharp and unpredictable.
