What is Universal Indicator Made of?

Phenolphthalein
Methyl Red
Bromothymol Blue
Thymol Blue

The native color of the sheets is orangish-yellow but changes at different pH levels due to the various indicators. This makes it useful as both a pH indicator & water leak detector.

The universal pH water indicator paper sheets shown in the image are 8x10" (200x250mm) but is available in large format 24x20" (600x500mm), mininum order is 100 sheets. Other custom sizes available; MOQ applies.

We needed some bigger sheets of ph paper for our second grader's science fair project (write on ph paper with clear crayon or wax sticks, spray with acid water to turn red, reveal SECRET MESSAGE! ), and this was one of the few places I could find anything other than tiny test strips. Shipping was quick, and although this science fair is costing an arm and a leg, the price for the ph paper seems reasonable in light of the size of the sheets. I came back today to order more (he used more working out the pre-fair kinks than expected), so fingers crossed that it gets here in time. If not, we'll manage. I wouldn't hesitate to shop here again, and am glad to be able to support a business that isn't Amazon.

I can't say how well these work for my application, I haven't used them yet, but the shipping was much faster than I expected. I've ordered these for use in identifying water ingress into my car, and they seem to be perfectly suited for the job.
