Farming has its challenges. Agstar Financial commissioned us to brand this 10X foldout magnifier as a handy tool to inspect roots, fruits & leaves for damage caused by weather, insects & fungus.

The name "Agstar" is now associated with an EPA biogas recovery program using anaerobic digestors. Interestingly enough, scientists working in this area have used our ammonia, phosphate & nitrite/nitrate test strips with their bioreactors to monitor digestion efficiency.

Biogas is produced by anaerobic digestion of cattle, hog and poultry manure to reduce odors, pathogens and waste. Complex communities of bacteria break down this organic matter as well as wastewater biosolids, food waste, crop residues, fats oil & grease from restaurants, brewery waste, etc. to produce methane.

This biogas can then be used to produce electricity, heat & automotive fuel while the digestate (remaining solids) can be used in such diverse products as fertilizer, animal bedding, bioplastics & even plant pots.
