Adson tissue forceps have fine teeth in a 1x2 configuration for secure manipulation of viscera, mesentery and other membranes; only $4.95 each with discounts on quantity. These can also be custom imprinted with company or school logos & emblems.
They are popular with veterinarians that work on small animals compared to standard 1x2 or 2x3 rat tooth forceps. Ours come with a satin finish indicative of relatively high chromium content & will not rust when exposed to typical animal tissue.
Adson Forceps have smaller, finer teeth & more delicate tips than standard rat tooth forceps to minimize tissue damage. They allow for a pencil grip hold that is less traumatic in their handling & retraction of delicate tissues & are commonly used in plastic surgery, neurosurgery, and other procedures requiring precision. They are also used for grasping sutures while maintaining a secure hold with minimal finger pressure.
These forceps/tweezers are made with AISI 420 German surgical grade stainless steel, not "alloy steel" recovered from rusted cars. We've been selling this grade of tool since 1998. See "Documentation" for the chemical analysis certificate.
This lab Certificate of Analysis details the chrome, manganese & nickel content that ensures hardness, durability & rust resistance. For why this is important, read: Stainless Steel Tool Chemical Analysis
