the Indigo™ 22575 dental pick is great for removing O-rings from scuba regulators, tank valves, and dive equipment without damaging delicate brass components.
Dive shop technicians and experienced divers understand that proper O-ring maintenance is critical for safe underwater operation. Regulators, tank valves, and BCD fittings all depend on intact O-ring grooves to maintain watertight seals under pressure. Using metal tweezers, dental picks, or knife blades to remove old seals often scratches soft brass components, creating permanent leak paths that compromise equipment safety and require expensive part replacement.
This specialized O-ring removal pick features two carefully designed tips for dive equipment maintenance. The curved tip slides between O-rings and regulator housings to extract seals from first stages, second stages, and inflator mechanisms without gouging brass or chrome-plated surfaces. The angled tip accesses O-rings deep inside tank valve assemblies and quick-disconnect fittings where fingers cannot reach.
Indigo™ dental tools are made with AISI 410 German surgical grade stainless steel, not "alloy steel" made from rusted cars. We've been selling dental tools on-line since 1998. Ours stay sharp longer & are autoclavable: see Documentation below that confirms chromium & manganese content.
Need a greater variety of ultra-sharp tips for your work? Our unique 100 piece insect pin sampler package has 10 pins in 10 thicknesses, all made with grade 316 stainless steel.
