Make your own preventative spray for powdery mildew. Pharmaceutical grade (3%) hydrogen peroxide diluted down to the 0.5-1% (5000/10000ppm) level makes an organic remedy useful as a natural fungicide for powdery mildew. You can apply it to the soil and or spray a fine mist on plant leaf surfaces for effective control. Powdery mildew is often associated with high humidity. If you are growing plants hydroponically, try adding the H2O2 directly to the hydroponic nutrient solution.

Organic removal is always preferred. Powdery mildew is a primary infection & one of many pathogens that can impact your plant's ability to resist stress that can kill your plants. It's caused by a fungus that can be seen initially as mold growth on the surface of lower leaves. Mold on infected leaves of host plants can quickly spread to other plant tissues & cells. Powdery mildew spores germinate and their mycelia grow optimally at 25C Fungal spores are carried by air, dander, clothing & garden pests such as aphids. Spraying hydrogen peroxide can halt fungal development & is a quick & effective treatment of your infected cannabis plants

Powdery mildew can be controlled with garden mildewicides but over-the-counter hydrogen peroxide can assist the plant disease resistance response. H2O2 has any extra oxygen molecule stimulates plant defenses due to active oxygen species that produce superoxide ions that may contribute to chemically activated resistance. Hydrogen peroxide may further benefit indoor plants by oxygenating plant roots to prevent root rot caused by bacterial decay.

Much stronger peroxide solutions (10%) kill mold spores on hard surfaces such as greenhouse walls. For this application, use Indigo 10% H2O2 test strips to dilute concentrates to a safe level.
