Make your own preventative spray for powdery mildew. Pharmaceutical grade (3%) hydrogen peroxide diluted down to the 0.5-1% (5000/10000ppm) level makes an organic remedy useful as a natural fungicide for powdery mildew. You can apply it to the soil and or spray a fine mist on plant leaf surfaces for effective control. Powdery mildew is often associated with high humidity. If you are growing plants hydroponically, try adding the H₂O₂ directly to the hydroponic nutrient solution.

Details

Much stronger peroxide solutions (10%) kill mold spores on hard surfaces such as greenhouse walls. For this application, use Indigo^® 10% H₂O₂ test strips to confirm correct dilutions of food grade concentrates down to the required ppm level.

Specifications

Dip strip for 1 second & compare to color chart calibrated at 0, 500, 1000, 2500, 5000 and 10,000 ppm after 90 seconds. The detection limit is 250 ppm with an accuracy: +/- ½ color chart unit

Indigo® 10,000ppm hydrogen peroxide test strips have a guaranteed minimum 3 year shelf life but can be 5+ years if stored properly.
Store in original packaging at 20-30C in a dry place out of direct sunlight.

The number of strips per vial (100) is approximate.
Interferences: Test strip may react to other oxidizing materials, peracetic acid, chlorine, etc.
Suitable for detection of hydroperoxides and ether peroxides.
Polymeric peroxides, which can form in diethylether, are not detected.
Organic peroxides, such as di-tert-butyl peroxide, dicumyl peroxide or tert-butyl perbenzoate, either do not react or react with significantly reduced sensitivity.

Other Information:

Indigo® 10000 ppm peroxide test strips were developed to work with diluted solutions of hydrogen peroxide. Some formulations of hydrogen peroxide contain surfactants to create an “accelerated” version. These “accelerated” solutions may work with standard Indigo® H₂O₂ test strips but almost always require a custom color chart to compensate for different reaction times, etc.

Great test strip. A lot of other brands only go up to 500ppm, but this high level one can be used for high concentrated solutions.
