The Indigo® 68673W model kit can build an anatase unit cell structure which belongs to the D4h point group and crystallographic space group I41/amd. It is the most photocatalytically active of the three naturally occurring polymorphs of titanium dioxide (TiO<sub>2</sub>) With four TiO2 formula units per unit cell (Z=4), each Ti4+ ion is octahedrally coordinated by six O2- ions, but the TiO6 octahedra in anatase share edges rather than corners. This results in a more open and elongated tetragonal structure with distinct surface chemistry and photocatalytic properties.
