Bring science-inspired style to your home or workspace with this 1.25x8" (32×200 mm) jumbo glass test tube planter. Set in a minimalist concrete holder, it’s perfect for rooting plant cuttings or showcasing a single flower stem. Whether displayed on a desk, windowsill, or kitchen counter, it combines botanical beauty with a clean, modern aesthetic. Durable borosilicate glass resists cracking due to water temperature changes, while the ceramic base provides weight and stability making it ideal for everyday plant propagation or gifting to a fellow plant enthusiast, coworker, or teacher.
Buy just one tube or save with tube & stopper combos. No one beats our quality & price even with "free" shipping.
Activity: Root Observation in Transparent Media
Students or hobbyists can track how roots grow in clear water columns over time.
Compare light vs. shade placement or different plant types (e.g., basil, ivy, pothos)
Demonstrate environmental effects on root elongation and coloration.
An ideal eco-gift or merchandising display for garden centers, floral boutiques, or corporate welcome packages. Offer it as a ready-to-gift propagation vase; just add a cutting and a tag such as “Grow with us” for employee welcome kits, or use it in green office branding. Because Indigo Instruments sells single tubes without bulk minimums, small businesses and DIY makers can source only what they need.

Very High Quality! So happy I found these for work. My boss was impressed!
I am SO happy to have found these test tubes from Indigo Instruments. I hadn't heard of them before and had checked the usual large retailers of labware, but couldn't find this size. The price was VERY reasonable, and I appreciated being able to order them in the quantities that I needed, and not in batches of 100/1000/etc. They shipped super quickly and arrived in perfect condition. Couldn't be happier!!
Unfortunately, I ordered the wrong size. (I had taken the lip into account but not the width of the tube itself.) In spite of the order not working out, I found the price to be reasonable and the customer service was excellent. Someone reached out to let me know that it would save money to get two tubes instead of one, and I appreciated that there was a human processing my order who took the time to write me an email.
Thanks for the feedback. We try to review every order in case of product mismatches (tubes & stoppers or test tube racks)?or if there are overlooked cost savings. Glad we could help.
Thanks for the feedback. We don't pad our prices so we can offer "free" shipping. Selling small quantities allows customers like you to fix their problems or test their product ideas without breaking the bank.
