Paleontologists need to clean and prepare fossils by carefully removing small amounts of sediment or surrounding rock or soil without damaging the fossil itself. The Indigo™ 22576 dental pick allows for precision cleaning, especially around delicate bones & teeth of vertebrates or intricate structures of soft-bodies invertebrates. Gentle scraping away layers of matrix will gradually & safely reveal the preserved structures of your rare fossil find.
