This strip can also test other acids when concentrated as noted by the amount in mM. You can use this in a science project as a serial dilution exercise using a dropper & graduated cylinder. Warning: These acids are highly corrosive when concentrated. Experiment only with the supervision of a teacher. Wear safety goggles & shield, lab coat & apron, proper gloves & in a fume hood if possible. Add acid to water not the other way around.

- HCl (10mM)
- Chromic acid H2CrO3 (10mM)
- Citric acid C6H8O7 100mM)
- Isocyanic acid, HOCN (100mM)
- Formic acid (methanoic acid), CH2O2 (100mM)
- Lactic acid, (milk acid) C3H6O3 (100mM)
The minimum concentration needed for these strips to react is given in milliMoles. If you want to do a wider range of dilutions with these or weaker acids, use our
pH 0-7 acid test strips.
