Multi-Walled carbon Nanotube
This carbon nanotube model includes nearly 2000 atoms & bonds for building 3 different colored coaxial layers to demonstrate the concept of multi-walled nanotubes.
This model consists of three graphene layers that were folded into tubes to represent a multi-walled carbon nanotube (MWCNT) shown in "cut-away" to make the internal structure clearer. All three tubes can be lengthened using standard Orbit trigonal atoms & 20mm "wobbly"™ bonds. Several trigonal bipyramidal atoms are included to replace several of the trigonal atoms at intervals so that each concentric tube is separated and held 30mm apart.
