This neodymium magnet disc, while only 0.5x0.3" (12.5x7.5mm) is super strong magnet and can be used with various sensors & actuators.
The Mark I Magnaprobe can respond to as little as 0.3 gauss & will detect weaknesses in magnetic shielding. The Mark II Magnaprobe is a fast & convenient way to confirm magnet are positioned with their poles pointing correctly.

See what these customers had to say (click on name for full review):
Tracy Myerson: ...purchased N42 Neodymium magnets, they are the real deal...had previously bought magnets on Amazon that were advertised as N52, they were just another cheap Chinese fake....
Ron Bennett: Fantastic support and product. Beats Amazon price with real customer service...product was of the highest quality and exactly as described
Peter Maran: Their Neodymium magnets are superb in quality and price; ...tools, magnifiers, tweezers, and so on, all quality made...
These are great little magnets. They are absolute power houses for their size, a sweet spot in the power:size ratio, in my opinion. So far I'm using them as part of a shelf quick release, and a custom tool holder. Keep them away from kids and adults not trained in strong magnets, as they are a definite pinch/shatter hazard at this strength.

Sounds interesting. Good thing you are safety aware & these aren't our biggest magnets either!
